We chatted about the challenges of running a historic house in the modern era. Pat visited the distillery here at Ballyvolane House and sampled Bertha’s Revenge Gin - (he loved it thank God). James Ronayne from Castlelyons (also our local Undertaker) brilliantly told the story of the foul murders which took place at Ballyvolane in 1730 and the chest of buried treasure. We are still digging! At the end of the show there was participation from the audience.
