    Author, podcaster, broadcaster, historian and our dear friend Turtle Bunbury stumbled upon Big Bertha’s wake on New Year’s Eve in 1993. This kind of thing happens to Turtle all the time which makes him almost as remarkable as Bertha! Without Turtle, we would not have discovered Bertha and we owe him a huge debt of gratitude for bringing Bertha to our attention.     Home From Home Travel Auction in aid of Ukraine

    Home for Home is a travel auction, offering participants the chance to stay in some of the world’s most beautiful and exclusive homes, with all proceeds directly benefiting much needed aid relief efforts in the Ukraine. The brainchild of of our dear friend Josephine Ryan, author, interiors expert and stylist, the collection comprises 30 properties located across the globe, many of which are not typically available to rent. Homes listed include Neuendorf House, a design-led Mallorcan villa created by world renowned architects John Pawson and Claudio Silvestrin and Thyme, the much loved 31 bedroom bolthole found in the heart of the Cotswolds.

    With opening bids starting from £500, the auction provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience some of the world’s most spellbinding properties. Josephine is hoping to raise £50,000; all proceeds will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which allows the added benefit of a pound for pound donations match, courtesy of the UK Government.

    Double Gold for Bertha at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022

    Bertha’s Revenge Gin was awarded a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022. This is the highest award we have received from a truly independent awards judging panel so far. We would like extend our thanks to the judges. We are absolutely delighted.

    The San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) has just finished its 22nd annual judging of spirits. Founded in 2000, the SFWSC is the oldest competition in North America. A total of 70 judges drawn from all over the world evaluated approximately 5,000 spirits over two weeks in April 2022. 2022 marked the largest number of entrants that the San Francisco competition has ever received. Not only is the SFWSC now the largest spirits competition in the world, but we saw growth across all spirit categories, especially RTDs.
