About

Bertha’s Revenge Irish Milk Gin is a small batch gin that is distilled using whey alcohol in place of the traditional grain alcohol, along with spring water and 18 locally grown and foraged botanicals. Bertha’s Revenge gin is produced in a 125 litre copper pot still by the Ballyvolane House Spirits Company based in Cork. The gin is named after Bertha, the world’s oldest cow that reached 48 years of age and gave birth to 39 calves.

The Gin Guide says…

Bertha’s Revenge Gin is a fascinating proposition combining a rustic, hand crafted feel with bold, complex flavours and a unique use of whey alcohol for the base spirit. The whey alcohol does deliver a creamy quality to the gin that is very effective in holding the spices and warming botanicals. Smooth and complex, Bertha’s Revenge gin makes an ideal digestif with a touch of water, or in a gin and tonic or martini.
