EventsCatch us on the hoof at Gin Festivals, Events, Galas & Exhibitions that you’ll find Bertha’s Revenge appearing at throughout the year!
A massive thanks to all our customers, distributors, partners, suppliers, families and especially our staff for all your wonderful support during 2021. It has been a challenging year but we are pleased that Bertha’s Revenge Gin is trucking along well despite the on-trade being closed for a large part of this year. We have got Bertha into some new export markets around the world and we are excited and optimistic about the future. We are especially looking forward to jumping on a plane again in 2022 to share Bertha love with our friends and distributors overseas.
We are delighted to have a stall at “A Taste of Christmas” this coming Sunday, 28th November from 12noon to 4pm at Fr. Ferris Park in Castlelyons. Hope you can join us.
CHEWING THE CUD IS BACK!!! 🐄🍷🐄
Join us next Wednesday on IG Live where we will be celebrating life in the sloe lane!
We’ll be on IG Live next Wednesday evening (August 25th) at 6.30pm. And as autumn is upon us, we’ll be discussing our Sloe Bertha, a warming tipple made by infusing wild and cultivated sloes with Bertha’s Revenge Gin.
The perfect antidote to shorter evenings!
See you then!
Bertha Sessions is a live-music and supper event held in the rustic dining terrace and barn at Ballyvolane House. We are delighted to welcome Blind Poets, who will be performing at the next ‘BERTHA SESSIONS’ live-music and two-course supper in the barn at Ballyvolane House on Friday 28th February 2020.
Tickets are €35 per person which include entry to the gig and a two-course supper. Needless to say, we are always very happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements and please advise accordingly.
Fine song-writing, gorgeous traditional arrangements, skilful musicianship and five exceptional voices characterise this band. Rooted in folk but unafraid to cross genres, it’s no exaggeration to say Blind Poets are doing something new in Irish music.
Ballyvolane House (the home of Bertha’s Revenge Gin) is the Georgina Campbell ‘Country House of the Year 2020’. We are chuffed to bits with this award and it recognises the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team working here with us. Thank you Georgina, we have been celebrating!
Citation from Georgina Campbell:
“Justin and Jenny Green are the current custodians of this gracious 1728 mansion. Surrounded by its own farmland and magnificent wooded grounds, it has wonderful gardens (domain of Justin’s father, Jeremy), a trout lake and salmon beats on the River Blackwater, it’s also known for contemporary charms - glamping (bell tents or the pig ark!), an atmospheric wedding venue and even their own gin, the famed Bertha’s Revenge. Justin and Jenny are an extremely hospitable couple, committed to continuing the standards of hospitality, comfort and food and drink for which this lovely and fun-filled house is renowned - and recent guests Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall obviously enjoyed it, as you can see from their framed letter of thanks in the drawing room.”
We are absolutely delighted to have won silver in the ‘Spirit Company of the Year’ category at the Food & Drink Business Awards 2019 in Dublin on 5th September. The Great Northern Distillery was the overall winner of this category and we would like to congratulate all the winners and finalists. Super night, thank you!
We are over the moon to be shortlisted for a Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Award 2020.
Ireland’s longest-running, independent Irish food and hospitality awards, in association with AIB, will celebrate 21 years under the current branding (plus a good few more before that!), with a gala event at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin on Sunday, 15th September, with special guest, Richard Corrigan.
This year’s Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards have a particular focus on celebrating Ireland’s talented industry pioneers; those who laid the quality foundations that have made Ireland’s food tourism and hospitality journey such a vivid success story (many of whom are still leaders today), and the new pioneers who are doing the same thing for its future.
