  • HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall stay at Ballyvolane House

    published in

HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall stayed at Ballyvolane House during their official visit to Cork this week. It was a huge privilege having them here and it has been an incredible few days. They are utterly charming. The Prince of Wales presented us with a bottle of Highgrove Organic gin and we gave him a bottle of Bertha’s Revenge Gin. I hope all the road closures and check-points weren’t too much of an inconvenience to all our neighbours. The Garda team handling the security operation were highly impressive and most professional. The Prince’s entourage from Clarence House and all the officials from the British Embassy and the Department of Foreign Affairs were a pleasure to deal with too. Their visit is great for us and the area and it has raised the profile of Cork. Thank you for staying! We really enjoyed having everyone here. It’s been quite a week!

(Thanks to Dave McClelland Photography for coming down to photograph the event).

Junipalooza London 2018 at Tobacco Docks on Saturday, 9th and Sunday, 10th June 2018.

We are delighted to be bringing Bertha to London for Junipalooza this year.

The annual Gin festival is a very much one of a kind; not only are all of the makers behind each gin there to talk you through their products in person, but every single gin is free to sample and comes with the option to drink neat or with tonic.

Over 60 gin brands will be in attendance, with well over 100 gins on offer between them. Once through the door, you’ll be handed a tasting glass and off you go to taste you way through the next four hours. Your ticket entitles you to as many samples as you’d like to try, as well as access to a range of talks and masterclasses from industry experts, a great cocktail bar and a room full of gin geeks having the best time since… well, last year’s stellar event.
