    Gin Magazine - Duty Free gins take flight - Bertha's Revenge Gin

    We are delighted to be featured in this article in Gin Magazine.

    After years of putting up with a limited offer, gin-loving travellers are now often spoilt for choice at many airports.

    A decade ago international travellers had a poor selection of gins to choose from on a typical visit to an airport duty-free store. Gin was allocated just a couple of shelves and the range featured the usual suspects – Gordon’s, for a long time the best-selling brand, Bombay Sapphire, Beefeater and Tanqueray. A price saving was the only reason to buy.

    Today, the offer of gins on display to travellers is much wider even at airports serving markets where gin has not been strong domestically. Provincial airports are championing local craft gins; more established craft brands are launching travel retail exclusives for the first time, and the big names in gin are responding to the increased competition by launching their own exclusive lines.

  • Food and Wine Ireland features Feast Cork Food and Drink Festival

    Nice feature on Feast - East Cork Food & Drink Festival in Food & Wine Ireland.

    The week-long event, known as fEast Cork, takes place from 1st to 8th September 2019 and organisers say it will be the biggest and best to date. Based in Midleton but encompassing the wider region, the festival week promises a mix of dinners, markets, demonstration and conversations, as well as foraging, mixology, producers and the heritage and storytelling the region - and the island of Ireland is known for.

    Super line-up of events and we are delighted to be part of this festival and we are hosting a Bertha’s Revenge Gin ‘Meet the Makers’ Distillery Tour, Tasting and Lunch at Ballyvolane House on Thursday, 5th September.

    Justin is heading down to Curraghmore House for All Together Now Festival 2019 to show and share Bertha’s Revenge Gin tipples and Bertha Love with enthusiastic festival-goers at the Grub Circus Tent which is curated by Joe McNamee. The event is at 5.15pm and we will be sharing the stage with our good chum Patrick Shelley of Ornabrak Gin and Kalak Vodka. Hope to see you there!!
