Junipalooza London 2018
Junipalooza London 2018 at Tobacco Docks on Saturday, 9th and Sunday, 10th June 2018.
We are delighted to be bringing Bertha to London for Junipalooza this year.
The annual Gin festival is a very much one of a kind; not only are all of the makers behind each gin there to talk you through their products in person, but every single gin is free to sample and comes with the option to drink neat or with tonic.
Over 60 gin brands will be in attendance, with well over 100 gins on offer between them. Once through the door, you’ll be handed a tasting glass and off you go to taste you way through the next four hours. Your ticket entitles you to as many samples as you’d like to try, as well as access to a range of talks and masterclasses from industry experts, a great cocktail bar and a room full of gin geeks having the best time since… well, last year’s stellar event.

Irish whiskey has been on a tear over the past few years, with sales value increasing by 22 percent in the U.S. and 18.5 percent in all markets over the first half of 2017.
But gin is the fastest-growing spirits category in Ireland. There are now 30 Irish brands available, and global exports tripled in volume in 2016. The Irish Spirits Association expects these numbers to increase this year, which means there will be even more Irish gin available here in the U.S.

Irish Times - 'Irish gin producers to go global as exports set to soar' by Charlie Taylor
Irish craft gin is set to go global this year as local brands seek to go head-to-head with the likes of Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick’s and Tanqueray.
A new forecast from the Alcohol Beverage Federation of Ireland (ABFI) suggests that, while last year marked a breakthrough for Irish gin makers, 2018 will see brands such as Bertha’s Revenge, Shortcross, Blackwater No 5, Dingle and Gunpowder really taking on the competition by growing sales significantly in the US, Canadian, British and German markets.

Ballyvolane House Parts 1 & 2 Blogs by The Lifestyle Enthusiast
Many thanks to Reena of The Lifestyle Enthusiast, A Luxury Food & Travel Blog for writing and curating this stunning blog about her recent stay and visit to Ballyvolane House and the distillery.
“When you discover a secret gem like this one, it takes everything to stop yourself from sharing it with the world. I’ve been putting off writing this post for days, for fear that all the world will book in and I won’t be able to go back to my new favourite short-haul getaway spot. That said, it would be a tragedy for you not to hear about Ballyvolane House, the Irish countryside retreat that you’re going to fall in love with.”
