AwardsAwards & accolades from the Food & Drinks Industry
We are over the moon to be shortlisted for a Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Award 2020.
Ireland’s longest-running, independent Irish food and hospitality awards, in association with AIB, will celebrate 21 years under the current branding (plus a good few more before that!), with a gala event at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin on Sunday, 15th September, with special guest, Richard Corrigan.
This year’s Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards have a particular focus on celebrating Ireland’s talented industry pioneers; those who laid the quality foundations that have made Ireland’s food tourism and hospitality journey such a vivid success story (many of whom are still leaders today), and the new pioneers who are doing the same thing for its future.
We are delighted that Sloe Bertha is a Finalist in the Blas Na HEireann - Irish Food Awards 2019. The award winners will be announced on 5th October at the Dingle Food Festival. Congratulations to all the other finalists who made it through this year. Dingle will be the place to be and we are looking forward to one hell of a knees-up.
We are delighted our little company is a ‘Spirit Company of the Year’ finalist in the Food & Drink Business Awards 2019. In good company too along with Dingle Distillery, Great Northern Distillery and Galway Gin Company. Fingers crossed!
Bertha’s Revenge Gin won a bronze medal for design at the World Gin Awards 2019. We are absolutely delighted and our thanks go to the judges.
We would like also to extend our thanks to Rod Springett a dear friend, who designed our logo and label. It’s reminiscent of a 1930’s style wood cut and captures the spirit of Bertha perfectly. We love it and we are delighted the judges did too.
We are delighted to announce that Bertha’s Revenge Sloe Gin won Bronze at the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards last weekend in Dingle. Antony was in Dingle to receive the award and to enjoy the delightful sights, sounds and smells of Dingle. Thank you to all the judges, we are chuffed to bits.
We are delighted to share the good news that Bertha was a awarded a Star at the Great Taste Awards 2018 in London.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, The Great Taste Awards are widely regarded as the benchmark to recognise fine food and drink as it is the world’s largest blind-tasted food awards.
We are chuffed to bits that Bertha’s Revenge Gin won a Silver Outstanding Award at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2018 in London. The International Wine & Spirit Competition awards excellence to wines & spirits in over 90 countries, encouraging recognition for quality products since 1969.
Bertha’s Revenge Gin was the highest ranked Irish gin in the awards for 2018.
We are delighted and we would like to thank the judges and our small team here at the distillery. We are celebrating!
We are delighted to announce that Bertha is one of five contenders for the World’s Best Martini Challenge 2018 in London.
The five contenders will go up against the 2017 winner, Daffy’s Gin, and present their showcase martini recipe to a panel of independent judges at the London event on the evening of January 18th, 2018.
Whilst Bertha did not the title of ‘World’s Best Martini’, we are proud to have won the vote for the ‘People’s Choice” from the audience on the night.
We are just back from magical Dingle in the Kingdom County of Kerry. We are delighted to report that Bertha’s Revenge Sloe Gin won Gold at the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards 2017.
