    Bertha for Ukraine

    We are deeply saddened and upset by the horrors visited upon the people of Ukraine by the Putin regime and we would like to help. For every ‘Bertha for Ukraine’ gift box sold, we will donate €10.00* to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

    Containing a 225g jar of Bertha orange marmalade made for us by the good people at Crossogue Preserves, Tipperary to accompany breakfast, and a 70cl bottle of Bertha’s Revenge Milk Gin to crack into (a little) later in the day. Presented in our distinctive Bertha branded sliding wooden gift box with the Ukrainian flag hand-painted on the lid.

    A Taste of Christmas, Castlelyons, 27th November

    We are delighted to have a stall at “A Taste of Christmas” this coming Sunday, 27th November from 12noon to 4pm at Fr. Ferris Park in Castlelyons. Castlelyons is our local village and located only five minutes from our home.

    Bertha in all its forms will be on sale. It’s the perfect opportunity to do your Christmas shopping. Treat a loved-one, work colleague or client to Bertha tipples this Christmas. There will be lots of stall holders selling locally-made arts crafts and artisan food and drinks. It promises to be a fun day out and we are looking forward to it enormously.

    We are delighted Sloe Bertha picked up a bronze medal at the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards 2022 in Dingle. Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners. We would like to thank the judging panel and all the team at Blas for their wonderful support. It was a joy to be back in Dingle after a two year hiatus. We enjoyed some world class food, drink and hospitality in Dingle and we even managed to fit in a hike up the mountain to clear the head.
